When this disruption occurs, it can lead to health issues.The endocrine system's delicate balance helps the body remain in a carefully controlled state of equilibrium. Disruptions, whether due to external toxins or internal dysfunctions, can lead to a range of disorders, emphasising the importance of understanding and safeguarding hormonal health.

Some common ingredients that have been flagged as potential endocrine disruptors include:

Parabens: Often used as preservatives in makeup, moisturisers, cosmetics, hair-care products, and shaving creams.
Phthalates: Found in perfumes, lotions, soaps, shampoos, hair spray and nail polishes.
Triclosan: Commonly found in antibacterial soaps, body washes, toothpaste and some cosmetics.
Sulfates: Found in shampoos and cleansers for foaming.
BPA: Found in plastic containers. This estrogenic compound is linked to a variety of endocrine dysfunctions.
